This past weekend I had an interview with a reporter from the local newspaper that covers the East Rand. He asked me a question that I found really important. A question that has an answer of much value that people don’t seem to realize. He asked me if I thought my family support was a reason to base some of my success and achievement’s on. Well the answer was quite obvious, as he seemed to get it as it took no time to answer.

Family is the one thing in life that you have no choice but to accept and appreciate no matter how much you might want to punch a sibling or how hard you want to push the limit of your door slamming abilities against your parents. With no family, there would be way less backup support to the person you grow up to be. Your family teach you your morals and life lessons. They show you right from wrong. They support your success and pull you back when you headed in the wrong direction. This happens often, as I rarely see where I am going.

My family has been the strength behind much of what I have done in my short life time. They have been there behind some of my best accomplishments. They have been the reasons I base some decisions on. They made me who I am. I think I would not be me if I didn’t have some of the examples to look up to. Examples that only a family member could set for me to follow.

I must say that I wouldn’t trade my family for anything. Even a pet dolphin. The thing about my family is that I value each member in their own right and some of them might not be family by blood, but they are just as important and crazy just as if they were blood relatives.

My world would not be the same if I didn’t have the family that I do. None of it would be the same and I could NEVER, in any time line, universe of general sense of the word, think of a life without the crazy family in my life. My family and friends make up my world and I would never want another reason to thank, hug, argue with or laugh about something that involves my family. They make up my existence. Where would my life be without these people….. NOOOOOOOO idea….
