Ladies and gents, a New Year has hit us, and I only know that is going to bring some incredible stuff our way. Someone sent in a News Year’s wish, a few minutes before the end of 2023, wishing for the New Year to bring a kinder and better world of people. Its only the second day and I have already seen that his wish is definitely coming true. We went on a mini road trip today and had a great experience.

We decided to take a day and ride to Hartbeespoort.  For those overseas, it’s a cosy little town in the North-West province here in South Africa. There is a well-known dam and a place called Little Paris. There is a miniature Eifel Tower with a quaint little restaurant called Café Alexandre also known as French Toast. We sat and had a delicious brunch, Fudge was welcome with open arms. The cutest thing was that the sitting area had little water bowls for the furry visitors. After this pleasant visit, we took a spontaneous detour to the cable carts that were nearby. I called and they said that Fudge was allowed, and surely, as we got there, things went super smoothly. Fudge went with my brother and mum in the cable cart and I took the hanging chair. My brother tried his hardest to convince me otherwise but after they pointed out the chairs to me, I had to go.

At first it seemed like things would be complicated with me going alone on the chair, but they soon sorted out a system where the employees helped me get on and off the chair. It was such a great experience and it was reassuring knowing that there were people to help. I know I couldn’t experience the view at its fullest but I certainly felt accepted and included which means the world to me. It is great when I visit places and see that the level of inclusivity is on a level that I can agree with. It brings me the greatest joy. The staff were amazing and extremely accommodating will definitely be back for the beautiful view up top.

Referring back to the New Years wish, I do believe that this year will be one where people will find more smiles and kindness. I feel that this year will be different somehow… I don’t know how exactly but I know it is for the better. I have a good feeling about this year and I know it wont let me down. I am super excited to see what is to come. As you reflect on the resolutions you intent on seceding in throughout this year, be sure to add in something along the lines of making the world a kinder place. It will only benefit you, bringing happier and more pleasant people, experiences and places to come across. 2024 has something amazing in store for each of us and I can’t wait to see what is going to happen. Always remember though, that all these great New Year’s resolutions are definitely not going to spontaneously sporn into something great without you actually doing something about it so make sure to act on these wishes… doing so can lead to some of the your best moments.
