It is crazy to think of all the things we live for. From the things we love to the things that drive us mental. From the things that slow us down to the things that give us our passion. The point is, we all have something that we live for. No one has exactly the same reasons for living, the reason from proving their abilities. Life is not just about the place we want to end up in, but it is more about the time and effort we put in to get there.

As we grow into the person, we have set our intention in becoming, we have to remember to be grateful and happy for each thing we come into contact with. Whether that be a best friend, to a family member. A challenge, a fear. All the small things that end up creating and impacting the person we develop into. We often see the bigger things in life as the small things could be seen as irrelevant. In the long term though, it is the small things that we learn from. The small things that give some kind of value or meaning to our existence. Fear, for example, gives an aspect to our personality. This shows how the small things literally make us who we are. If we don’t appreciate or value these things, we won’t give them the attention that they deserve.

If we remember to value all the little things that make us who we are, we could work on those little things. This allows us to work on the person we would like to be in the future. This allows us to value ourselves. It is of great importance to value the person you grow into. It gives you the confidence and self-happiness you need. This is not to say that you should become a narcissist and go around flaunting all your greatness in a not-so-subtle way, but more just having the happiness within yourself of the person that you are. If I have learned one lesson in life, it would be to maintain your own sense of self.

Society inflicts views that we are expected to follow. They portray it as a crime if you don’t fit in with the crowd. People have been made to feel like being who they truly are, is not good enough. This is exactly the opposite message that should be promoted in life. If we don’t appreciate the many little things that make us all different and unique in the world, how will we differentiate ourselves from each other. The thought of acting just like everyone else bores me to the ends of the universe, thus I highly emphasize the value of remembering all the little things that have made me who I am. I don’t care if I don’t fit in with whatever is the new trendy crowd, that does not appeal to me. I want to be able to say that I am proud of the person I have become. A person dependent on my own thoughts, feelings and admirations. A person that will stick out in all the right and wrong moments for the pure fact that it contrasts what people think is correct to what I know is correct for myself. I hope you aspire to be your own person with your own characteristics untouched by the expectations of the outer world.
