The past few blogs have been a bit intense so I thought that today I could just share a sneak peak into my new UNI LIFE. I started my second year at University this past Monday and I just need to tell you that I did NOT expect it to be this insane. There are thousands of people, it is like a maze of people when you try and make it to the lecture halls.
Now for those who don’t know this about me, I have heightened senses. So pretty much everything I experience is on a higher scale. With the amount of people walking on campus, the volume of voices is extremely loud in my ears when we wonder about the place. It is interesting though, to zone into people voices and hear what everyone sounds like. I’m not saying I’m eaves dropping but sometimes have extremely good hearing that lets you into people conversations a couple of times. I have already noticed some peoples voice that I heard on the first day, I have recognized on the second day. Although the amount of people always appearing this either is a coincidence or just a different person that has a similar sounding voice.
A shout out to my scribe. She needs to focus on the new surroundings of the new campus and guiding me when we walk, it is CRAZY. There are hundreds of people that we have to weave through whilst walking to the lecture halls or the car. Everyone walks at different paces and with different sized groups, so to navigate through all the chaos of people is a bit challenging. I can’t wait to start mingling with other students though meeting new people. This will have to wait until we have actually figure out our way properly around the varsity. Doing this takes up a lot of our time.
But what am I studying, you may ask? Well, I finally transferred my course from last year. I am now studying psychology. I have been exempted from modules that I have done previously so I only have three modules this semester. English, psychology and anthropology. I have a feeling that the last two are going to keep me very busy considering we get two readings for anthropology a week. These readings being around forty pages, more or less. I’ll just say I’ll take it as it comes. And I think I am ready to take anything as it comes to be honest, I don’t think it will be too bad.
